We will go over Review Vocabulary 7 for Test on next Thursday; students will review the poetry terms for the poetry project.
Monday: Review Langston Hughes’ poems, tone, and imagery. Sonnets/Lyric Poems: “I Ask My Mother to Sing” & Alliteration: “A Tutor”
Tuesday: Review poems; Vocabulary 7
Wednesday: Rhythm/Meter: “Father William,” “Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout Would Not take the Garbage Out” & Meet the Writers: Lewis Carroll & Shel Silverstein
Thursday: Rhyme/End Rhyme/ Rhyme Scheme: “The Runaway” & Stanzas and Couplets: “A Minor Bird”; Meet the Writer: Robert Frost
Friday: Test on Langston Hughes, tone, imagery, sonnet, and lyrics. Free Verse: “Names of Horses”..Enriched LA AR Test Due
