Mrs. Munier’s 7th Grade Language Arts

Directions:

1. You will collect 20 poems that are related specifically to the 21 poetry terms located on the next page.  You will copy the title, poem, and author. You will write the term it relates to and its definition. You will then tell how the poem relates to the term in a 2-3 sentence explanation. Finally, you will add an illustration to each of the 20 poem pages. 

2. You will be assigned a poet to study for this project. You will find the following information about the poet:

a) picture of the poet

b) birthday- death

c) 10 important facts about his or her life

d) poem

This part of the project will be presented to the class. You may memorize the poem or present it in another creative way.

3. You will put a title page, table of contents,  20 poem pages, poet biography and poem, and  a bibliography page into a folder. All pages should have a page number.

*Title page: name, date, class period, title of project

*Table of contents: title of poem, page number
